AKOTHERM impresses at SCHULBAU Frankfurt with safe and efficient system solutions
On April 15 and 16, we from AKOTHERM were present at SCHULBAU in Frankfurt am Main, the industry meeting point with a clear focus on school and commercial construction. The focus of our trade fair presence was the presentation of practical, safe, efficient and barrier-free system solutions. Visitors were able to test central products on functional samples and gain a practical impression.
Hands-on technology: experience safety and ventilation live
The exhibited sample of the ELA opening limiter and the AKOTHERM ventilation flap were of particular interest. Both solutions could be actively tried out on site. An aspect that led to intensive discussions and a better understanding of the functions among many trade visitors.
Controlled opening for more security
The end position locking ELA opening restrictor offers a simple yet effective solution for secure windows in school and commercial buildings. The opening width of side-hung windows is limited to 89 to 120 mm and remains reliably locked in this position. Complete opening is only possible by authorized personnel.
The system is particularly suitable for areas with changing users and combines a high level of security with convenient operation via the window handle. Robust, low-maintenance and designed for sash weights of up to 200 kg, the ELA fitting has long since established itself as a proven standard solution.
Efficient ventilation, lean implementation
The AKOTHERM ventilation flap is an impressive modern solution for natural and controlled ventilation. As a side-hung vent with a vent width of just 180 mm, it can be integrated into both window frames and façade systems and blends harmoniously into the façade thanks to its opaque design. Its slimline design appears almost invisible and at the same time ensures a pleasant indoor climate.
Despite its compact design, it offers a high level of functionality: thanks to the small clear opening width, no additional fall protection is required, even with a 90° opening angle. An advantage for safety and planning.
The sophisticated design with a shear-free insulating bar minimizes the bi-metal effect and ensures permanently reliable operation, even in strong sunlight. At the same time, the robust design ensures high thermal stability.
Whether manually or motor-controlled, for example for automatic night-time cooling, it enables energy-efficient ventilation concepts and supports sustainable building technology. The combination of a clear appearance, simple integration and intelligent functionality makes it particularly attractive for sophisticated building projects.
